PRESIDENT - HOLLIN JENKINS  jenkineh@miamioh.edu

Hollin Jenkins is a rising junior entering his 3rd year with the club.  He boxed several times this past season and qualifed for the MidWest Regional Championships.  Easily the most committed athlete in the club, he has competed ten times the past year. He also serves Miami as a Resident Assistant in Havighurst Hall.   

VICE PRESIDENT for RECREATION - AUSTIN VAN HOUTEN -  vanhoua@miamioh.edu

Austin Van Houten is a pre-med student that joined the club this past year.  He often led the club in workouts and will serve the club this year in the new VP for Recreation position.  He will be focused on making sure that recreational club members get the experience they are looking for.

New position created for 2013-2014 with responsibility for focusing on competitive team needs, planning and leadership.  Position will be filled once the competitive team is chosen.

  TREASURER - LAUREN PINKERTON - pinkerlm@miamioh.edu

Lauren Pinkerton is an Adolescent Youg Adult English Education major.  She served as President in 2012-2013 after two years of previous membership.  She always leads the way in club cardio workouts and sometimes spars with the guys.  Lauren will be student-teaching in the fall so will continue to serve the club as Treasurer.

COACH - ERIC BULLER, Ed.D. - bullere@miamiOH.edu

Coach Buller works at Miami as the Director of the Harry T. Wilks Leadership Institute and arrived here in 2011.  Prior to his arrival, he was the Assistant Coach of the Boxing team at the United States Military Academy and won a team Collegiate National Championship in 2008.  He also started the Boxing Club at East Carolina University.  He is a Level II USA Boxing Certified Coach and also serves as the Vice President for the National Collegiate Boxing Association.

 

Many thanks to Mike Argadine who coached MIAMI BOXING for many years since his graduation from Miami. Coach Argadine decided to step down after the 2011-2012 season as Head Coach.  We hope that we will see him back in college boxing soon.  

Also, thanks to Christopher Lee, another MIAMI BOXING alum that continues to provide great service to the club and sport.   Both of these Miami Alums kept MIAMI BOXING strong and competitive.
